Exams and Classrooms Procedures Academic Year 2022-2023

To ensure the safe conduct of classes and exams,The University of Pavia reminds students of the
necessary procedures to be able to attend the new academic year .
Proficiency and graduation examinations:
For the fall session and summer session, the examination methods that have been practiced since
January 1, 2022 continue to apply. There is no longer a requirement to show the green-pass for
entry to University buildings,but remains advisable to wear respiratory protective equipment in all
indoor places with special attention to situations where crowding may occur and if one meter
spacing cannot be guaranteed.
Lessons of the 1st semester of the Academic Year 2022-2023 (from September 2022):
Teaching and curricular activities are prioritized to be conducted in person.
Lecturers will only video-stream lectures in the event that, due to the possible reintroduction of the
distancing requirement and the consequent reduced classroom capacity, multiple groups must be
formed and students must alternate in in-presence attendance.
For all courses, video recordings of classes will be posted online, to be updated at the discretion of
the lecturer from previous versions and available to students for at least 15 days after the class.
Labs will be conducted in-person, in compliance with current safety and public health regulations
Profit examinations in the Academic Year 2022-2023 (from December 2022)
Oral and written profit examinations are conducted in person.
However, the lecturer and the student may agree, on an exceptional basis, to take oral exams online.
A student who, due to Covid-related limitations, has an objective impediment, independent of his or
her will and certified, to participate in the in-person examination has the right to take the online
examination in the mode (oral or written) proposed by the lecturer.
Graduate Examinations in Academic Year 2022-2023 (from December 2022)
Graduation examinations are normally held in person but may exceptionally be authorized in the
online form by the Department Director or Faculty President.
A student who, due to Covid-related limitations, has an objective impediment, independent of his or
her will and certified, to participate in the in-person graduation examination is entitled to take the
online graduation examination,
The number of participants admitted to the in-person graduation session shall be determined by the
Department Director or Faculty Chairperson according to the spaces that will be used, including
allowing for adequate physical spacing in and out of the classroom.
